City Mix Concrete was established in 1994 by Deon Fourie and Dawie Van Dyk.
In March 2006, three Readymix Concrete companies namely, City Mix Concrete, Debatra Concrete and URC Readymix merged in Nelson Mandela Bay (Port Elizabeth/Uitenhage/Despatch). A new company, Concrete 4 U, was then established as a result of the merger.
In 2016 AfriSam purchased shares in Concrete 4 U.
This new company has laid the foundation for the Province’s leading black empowered supplier of Readymix Concrete.
Concrete 4 U operates in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, East London, Mthatha and Port St Johns. They also have resources to erect mobile plants wherever necessary.
The Company has its own pumping service, which includes one trailer pump and one 36 metre Boom Pump.

Concrete 4 U has a level 8 BBBEE rating.
Concrete 4 U is a member of the South Africa Readymix Association(SARMA) which imposes strict Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards, as well as being a Bronze member with the Concrete Society of Southern Africa.
All concrete manufactured at the batching plants conform with SANS 878.
